What is PEP and sanctions screening?
PEP and sanctions screening checks a person or company against politically exposed person (PEP) lists, sanctions lists (OFAC, EU consolidated, UK HMT, UN, etc.) and adverse-media sources. It is a regulatory requirement for banks, fintechs and other obliged entities under AML / CFT laws.
Which sanctions lists does ScreeningHub cover?
OFAC SDN, EU consolidated, UK HMT (OFSI), UN, Interpol, plus 30+ national regimes. Lists are refreshed within minutes of publication.
How fast is the API?
Typical end-to-end latency is under 200 ms, including fuzzy and transliteration-aware matching across every relevant list. p99 latency stays under 500 ms during normal load.
Do you support ongoing monitoring?
Yes — on Growth and Enterprise plans. Profiles you have screened are continuously rescreened against new list versions. When a previously-cleared profile hits a list, your system receives a webhook within minutes, with the full match record and a deep link to the case.
Is data stored in the EU?
Yes. EU data residency is available on all plans and is the default on Enterprise. Single-tenant deployment is also available for institutions with stricter data-handling requirements.
Is ScreeningHub a replacement for KYC / identity verification?
No. ScreeningHub focuses on screening (PEP, sanctions, adverse media). It is typically deployed alongside an identity verification provider (Onfido, Veriff, Sumsub, etc.), not instead of one.
Can we self-host or run on-premise?
A single-tenant managed deployment is available on Enterprise. Pure on-premise installation is reviewed case-by-case — get in touch.
